I made this painting for an art class. I don’t remember what the assignment was. For this painting, I used rags instead of brushes, which is responsible for the texturing. While painting, I listened to uptempo dance music and applied the paint rhythmically, to the beat. This style of painting is a lot of fun – it’s more similar to dancing than traditional painting, and I freaking love to dance. I do this rhythmic painting with both brushes and rags – sometimes I’ll only do it for sections, but othertimes its the whole painting.
