Around this time, I was studying a lot of classical artwork, philosophy, and mythology. Most of it was for school, but some of it was extra-cirricular too. I bought a few photobooks full of greek and roman scultpures, and did a series of paintings based on them. This one was loosely based on a bust of the Roman emperor Caracalla.
