My freshman year, I took a 3D design class. Our first assignment was to make a shoe out of wire. The school didn’t provide any supplies, so I bought my own wire. Unfortunately, I accidentally got electrical wire, which is super floppy and doesn’t hold a shape. At first, this was a disaster – I had no idea how to even get started. But, once I figured out a strategy for working with the electrical wire, I actually think it gave my shoe a unique look compared to the rest of the class.
