This is a portrait of MC Ride I made for a drawing class in 2019. My teacher spread out a bunch of celebrity reference photos at the front of the classroom, and our assignment was to make a realistic portrait in ink. At the time, I was listening to a ton of Death Grips – so, I was very pleasantly suprised to see a photo of MC Ride on the table (awesome teacher, shoutout Tim!). I had never really done any hatching before, so it was a great learning experience.
